GP REGISTRARS AND MEDICAL STUDENTS

Our practice is a training practice involved in teaching medical students. We also have qualified doctors, GP registrars, who are training in general practice and working with us for 6 or 12 months. They are learning general practice and always have a lot to offer us from their recent hospital experience. You will therefore see new faces at the practice and sometimes another doctor sitting in with your own GP. If a doctor is teaching and you wish to see your doctor alone this will be arranged.

NURSE PRACTITIONER

• Carol Pape RGN, PGDip, MSc

A nurse practitioner is an experienced nurse who has undergone further training at degree level. Through a formal education programme, the nurse practitioner acquires the knowledge and clinical skills to enable her to treat a wide variety of health problems in much the same way as a doctor would do. She is also able to prescribe medication and refer to the hospital if required.

Carol is available:
Monday – Friday from 8:40am – 11:50 am and 1pm – 3 pm for same day and pre-bookable appointments.
